The Pondering Nest is a gathering place for thinkers and writers; a place to share and explore the insights and inspiration needed to improve our human experience.
We delight in uplifting writers who crisply render insights powerful enough to change us, and make us better as individuals, better in our relationships and better in our communities.
We love words that captivate us; where we spontaneously set the book down to ponder a fresh insight or a delightful opening of the eyes.
We consider these “wow moments” to be the special work of insight-thinkers and insight-writers.
Within the all-too-generic genre of non-fiction, we see a special niche for deep thinkers who write from their soul, sharing their gifts and insights about how to improve lives of people in deeply meaningful ways.
In tribal cultures, wisdom was openly shared around meals and bonfires, through ceremonies and dance, and while working side-by-side in routine acts of daily living. Insights flowed across generations. Everyone learned about life, throughout life, and into the afterlife.
We have lost most of this tribal wisdom in our modern society. Isolation is our primary modus operandi. As Thoreau aptly foreshadowed, “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation".
As a society, we need to rediscover soulful ways of thinking, living and being. Written and spoken words, offered by insight-thinkers, have the power to guide us into a better way of being human, experiencing life and belonging together.
